Core engineering and protocols for Institutional Cold Storage Architecture.
Many commercial crypto custodians store customer funds in cloud-connected multi-party computation (MPC) nodes. While convenient for high-frequency withdrawals, cloud nodes remain exposed to zero-day hypervisor exploits, insider employee coercion, and targeted state-sponsored cyber offensives. For reserves and institutional holdings, deep cold storage is mandatory.
PQCCustody operates air-gapped hardware vaults located in subterranean security facilities. Unsigned transaction payloads are transmitted into the vault via physical optical data diodes (light-emitting diodes transmitting to photodetectors over glass fiber), which physically prohibit electrical or radio transmission in the reverse direction, guaranteeing that malware cannot bridge the air gap.
